Greco is arguably Campania’s most prestigious white grape, together with Fiano. The wine is delicate, fresh and well-balanced. Its aromas are fairly intense, with typical notes of citrus, yellow fruits, apricot and broom flowers. The taste is dry, delicate and harmonious with a pleasant almondy finish.

Vineyard location: Santa Paolina in Avellino. Soil type: clay. Altitude: 400 meters above see level. Average age of vineyards: 25-50 years. Training system: Guyot. Density: 4.000 plants per hectare. Production: 50,000 kg per hectare.

Winemaker Notes
Greco di Tufo is a DOCG wine whose production is allowed in eight municipalities in the province of Avellino. The vine was brought in the province of Avellino, in the area of the municipality of Tufo by the Pelasgians of Thessaly (Northern Greece), in the first century BC “truly Greek wine was so valuable, that at banquets was paid only once” (Pliny the elder)
Food & Wine Pairing
Very good with raw fish. Exceptional with buffalo milk mozzarella.
Other Notes
Vigna dei Lupi was born in 2007 from a group of friends’ desire to invest time and resources into a project of excellence, unique for its quality and image. The winery is located in the Avellino province (Campania region – South of Italy). The estate extends for twelve hectares (= “DODICIETTARI”), of which nine planted with grapevines.
