Originally from Piacenza, Italy, Stefano’s journey began in law, passing the rigorous Italian bar exam before relocating to San Diego. His passion for Italian wine guided him to earn his Level 2 Italian Sommelier certification before leaving Italy. In California, Stefano taught Italian wine courses at San Diego State University and led wine hospitality programs at Mount San Jacinto College. Since 2017, he has spearheaded DOCG Imports’ San Diego sales, bringing deep knowledge and charisma to our team. When he’s not sharing his love of wine, Stefano is likely performing Yacht Rock or vintage pop-rock as a vocalist, guitarist, and bassist—often accompanied by his loyal dog, Lady.
