Travaglino dal 1868 - Oltrepò Pavese
Nestled in the picturesque hills of the Oltrepò Pavese region, Travaglino is a historic winery with roots dating back to 1868. With over 150 years of winemaking excellence, Travaglino stands as a symbol of tradition and innovation, seamlessly blending the rich heritage of the Oltrepò Pavese with a forward-looking approach to wine production.
The Travaglino estate spans over 400 hectares, with 80 hectares dedicated to vineyards that are carefully nurtured to express the unique terroir of the region. This commitment to quality and respect for the land is evident in every bottle, showcasing the authentic flavors of Oltrepò Pavese. Travaglino is particularly renowned for its elegant and refined Pinot Nero, which captures the essence of the region’s diverse microclimates and varied soil composition.
The winery’s dedication to excellence is matched by its innovative spirit. Under the guidance of Alessandro Cerri Comi, the current generation continues to explore new techniques while honoring time-tested traditions. This dynamic approach has earned Travaglino a reputation for producing wines that are both rooted in heritage and reflective of contemporary tastes.
The relationship between DOCG IMPORTS and Travaglino began at a Gambero Rosso event in San Diego in 2020, where Nina first met Alessandro Cerri Comi. Inspired by the passion and vision that Alessandro brought to his winemaking, Nina knew that Travaglino was a perfect fit for the DOCG IMPORTS portfolio. This meeting marked the beginning of a collaboration based on a shared commitment to quality and a love for authentic, expressive wines.

Winemaker ACHILLE BERGAMI
A pupil of Donato Lanati, he obtained a degree in Enology from Milan University. After a Masters in Varietal Winemaking, and valuable work experience in both Italy and India, he decided to join Travaglino in 2016. Convinced that the quality of a wine is the expression of a grape variety and the terroir in which it is cultivated, he believes in Travaglino’s potential, to which he dedicates all his passion and expertise.
Today, we are proud to bring the exceptional wines of Travaglino to our customers, allowing them to experience the unique character and elegance of Oltrepò Pavese.
