The Cannonau di Sardegna Granadu 2021 from Tenute Smeralda is a distinguished red wine that beautifully represents the terroir of South Sardinia. This wine boasts a bright ruby red color that evolves to garnet with age. The bouquet is intense and complex, featuring aromas of berries and cherries that mature into scents reminiscent of Mediterranean scrub and island spices. On the palate, Granadu is well-structured and powerful, offering a harmonious balance between vibrant acidity and firm tannins.
The wine is aged in stainless steel and further refined in the bottle before release, ensuring a polished and elegant finish.

Production Notes
Maceration lasts for 10-15 days at a controlled temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation in steel. The wine is aged in stainless steel and then in the bottle before release.

Tenute Smeralda is a young agricultural company founded as a continuation of the Cocco Francesca company, which has been operating in the wine-growing sector for about 50 years. Located in Donori, South Sardinia, in the Parteolla area, the company benefits from a microclimate particularly suitable for cultivating native grapes such as Vermentino and Cannonau. Cannonau, in particular, is renowned for its high content of procyanidins, a powerful antioxidant known as the elixir of life.
